Love MacX Video Converter Pro

I just got MacX Video Converter Pro and it's fantastic! I converted some old family videos to MP4 and it was super fast. The interface is easy to use, even for me. I'll definitely be buying from them again. You should check them out!

Good for DVD ripping

I purchased MacX DVD Ripper Pro a few weeks ago during a sale. The download was quick and the installation process was smooth on my MacBook Air. I used it to back up some old DVDs. It took a bit to understand the settings, but once I got it, the ripping speed was decent. I had a question about output formats, and their support team responded within a day, which was helpful. The quality of the ripped files was good, no complaints there. Overall, a solid tool for what I needed.

Reliable software, consistent performance

I've been a customer for a couple of years now, mostly for the video tools. This time I picked up the MacX DVD Video Converter Pro Pack. It's just as reliable as my previous purchases. I've used their DVD Ripper Pro before, and this new pack includes even more features. The software always updates smoothly and works with my current macOS without issues. It's why I keep coming back; I know what I'm getting. Consistency is key for me.

Can you use one license on more than one Mac? Like, if I have a desktop and a laptop?

N Noor Vargas 2 months ago
Depends on the license you buy. The standard one is usually for one Mac. They sometimes have family packs or higher tiers that let you install it on more.

Check the product page, it usually specifies. Mine is just for one computer but I've seen options for more during certain sales.

Is MacXVideo AI any good compared to Topaz? I'm mostly looking for upscaling old footage.

C Chris Silva 1 month ago
Topaz is really good but also super expensive. MacXVideo AI is a solid alternative for the price, especially if you catch a sale. The upscaling is decent, not quite Topaz level but close enough for most stuff.

I've used both. MacXVideo AI is definitely easier to use for casual stuff. Topaz has more fine-tuning options but has a steeper learning curve.

Hey, wondering if anyone knows if MacXDVD has like, a Black Friday thing going on usually? Or should I just jump on one of their current sales?

I Ivy Okafor 2 months ago
Yeah they def do Black Friday, Cyber Monday too. They usually have some pretty sweet deals then, like 70% off bundles. Might be worth waiting if you're not in a rush.

They pretty much always have some kind of sale though, so if you see a good discount now it might not be that much different. I got the ripper pro for like 50% off last month.

Thinking about getting the DVD Ripper Pro, but not sure if it'll work on my new M3 MacBook. Does it support the latest macOS?

R Ryan Q. 2 months ago
Yep, it should be fine. They're usually pretty good about keeping up with macOS updates. I'm on Sonoma with my M2 and it works perfectly.

I think they say on their site it supports the latest versions. Haven't had any issues with Ventura or anything before that.

Do MacXDVD coupons actually work? I've seen some on random sites but sometimes they're fake.

R Rachel 2 months ago
The ones on their actual website or landing pages usually work fine. I'd be careful with codes from sketchy coupon sites though.

M Marcus E. 2 months ago
I've always had luck with codes directly from their site. Just make sure it's not expired. They have a section in their FAQs about how to use them too.

Anyone tried those giveaway editions they sometimes have? Are they just super old versions or actually usable?

J James Q. 2 months ago
They're usually older versions, yeah, but still fully functional for what they do. Just without the latest features or updates.

D David Beaumont 2 months ago
Good for basic tasks to see if you like the software, but you'll probably want to upgrade to the Pro version for ongoing updates and new features.

Are these lifetime licenses actually forever? Or do they pull a fast one and make you pay for updates after a year or something?

M Mia Z. 2 months ago
From my experience with the ripper pro, lifetime means lifetime updates too. Haven't paid a cent since I bought it years ago.
1
J Josh L. 2 months ago
It's a one-time purchase, yeah. You get free updates for life. Just make sure you get the 'lifetime license' option, some deals might just be for a year.

How's the refund policy here? Just in case the software doesn't quite do what I need.

J Josh 2 months ago
They have a 30-day money-back guarantee. I've heard it's pretty straightforward if you need to use it.

R Ryan Hughes 2 months ago
I never had to refund anything, but their policy says 30 days. Just don't wait too long if you're not happy with it.
